My husband and I were completely satisfied with the work these friendly and very competent folks performed for us in Troy late this summer. We really shopped around and found most other tree companies were booked, but Lafountain came the week we called them, gave us an accurate estimate, then arrived when they said they would, trimmed several trees on our property, removed a dead tree (leaving neatly cut firewood in its place), cleaned up completely , chipped up a pile of dead branches in our woods and did all of this at a very reasonable price. A blue spruce near our house needed to come down, but we love it so much they spent lots of time trimming it away from our home instead - and we're thrilled with the result! Our neighbor stopped by to ask about two of her trees - and Lafountain's owner recommended they NOT be trimmed, even though he could have earned some quick money by doing so. A very large limb of an 60 Ft old maple in my yard cracked due to age and a strong breeze. When it fell it snapped a 7KV electrical line knocking out the power to my street. Edison quickly repaired the electrical line within 4 hours but left the sizeable limb on my property. I called Chris at La Fountain Tree Service and they said he was in the area and could be by within an hour to give me an estimate. The estimate was fair and reasonable and he said he could remove it later the same week. He and crew show up the next afternoon and removed the limb and two more to improve the tree appearance. Chris was a pleasure to deal with and is extremely friendly. You will get an outstanding job from a person with real integrity. He is a highly qualified tree expert and I recommend him for all your trimming needs.
